A Year of Progress, Innovation and Community at Premier Credit Union!

Premier Credit Union continues to strengthen its standing as a progressive, community-focused financial institution
Premier Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Day on Thursday, October 15, following a year of significant progress, innovation, and growth.
With over 35,000 members and five branches in Thurles, Roscrea, Urlingford, Killenaule, and Borrisokane, Premier Credit Union continues to strengthen its standing as a progressive, community-focused financial institution.
“This has been an exceptionally progressive year for Premier Credit Union. We have continued to grow, innovate, and expand our product and service offerings, while remaining firmly committed to the values and community ethos that make credit unions so special,” Brian King, CEO of Premier Credit Union, reflected on what has been an exciting year for the organisation.
Among the most significant developments has been the introduction of a highly competitive mortgage product, offering members an attractive alternative for financing their homes.
The credit union also continues to offer its popular Greenify Loan, which supports members investing in energy efficiency and home improvements.

More recently, Premier Credit Union launched a new travel insurance product and the introduction of its new mobile app represents another important step toward making financial services more convenient and accessible for members.
“Our new mortgage offering, the Greenify Loan, along with travel insurance and a mobile app, demonstrate our commitment to meeting the changing needs of our members.
“We want to combine the very best of modern financial services with the personal service, trust, and accessibility that have always defined the credit union movement,” Brian explained.
The year also saw the successful integration of Borrisokane Credit Union, further strengthening Premier Credit Union's regional presence.
Alongside these developments, Premier Credit Union continues to support local sporting, cultural, educational, and voluntary organisations through its sponsorship support.
“Amanda Ryan, President of Premier Credit Union, added that while we are proud of our progress, what sets us apart is that we are owned by our members and exist to serve them.
“Supporting our communities and making a positive difference in people's lives will always be central to everything we do.”
Looking ahead, Premier Credit Union is developing an ambitious strategic plan, focused on continued growth, innovation, and enhanced member services.
“International Credit Union Day is an opportunity to thank our members, staff, and volunteers for their continued support.
“We have achieved a great deal, but there is much more to come as we continue building a stronger, more progressive credit union for the future," concluded Brian.
