FAI unveils new home jersey as Sky extends partnership to include men's national team

Fans and supporters will be able to buy the new kit from this Friday

The Football Association of Ireland has launched the new Ireland home kit ahead of the upcoming friendlies against Belgium and Switzerland at the Aviva Stadium.

It has also been confirmed that communications company Sky has extended its partnership with the FAI and will now be the primary sponsor of both the men's and women's national teams until the end of 2028.

This design of the new jersey, which can be bought from 9am on Friday, celebrates Ireland's rich culture and honours the deep pride which people feel for the international team.

Commenting on the announcement of the partnership agreement, JD Buckley, CEO of Sky Ireland, said: “Over the past two and a half years, we have enjoyed a fantastic partnership with our women’s national team. We are thrilled and proud to announce the extension of that partnership and our brand-new primary partnership with the men’s national team.

"As primary partner across both teams for the next four years, we now have the opportunity to build on what we have achieved, support our national teams and work with the FAI to ensure future opportunities for young players.”

Also commenting on the new partnership, Jonathan Hill, CEO of the FAI said: “Sky has been a fantastic partner to the FAI for a number of years. Their groundbreaking partnership with our women’s national team has been a great success and they have helped to drive phenomenal growth in women and girl’s football in Ireland.

"We are now delighted they have decided to extend this support to our men’s national team, which recognises the exciting place the team finds itself in, ahead of the UEFA Nations League campaign, the qualification process for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and, of course, Ireland hosting UEFA EURO 2028. We are privileged to have Sky with us on that journey."

To mark the launch of the new kit, a special video - set in multiple locations around Ireland - has been released. It features Irish rapper Rejjie Snow alongside spoken word artists, Le Boom.

In the video (watch above) they capture the togetherness, unity and pride of the Irish nation – demonstrating the connection between fans and the team.
