Kangatraining Midlands Celebrates One Year in Longford

Mums in Longford who are looking for mother and baby classes, postnatal fitness options, or mum-and-baby workouts will be delighted to learn that Kangatraining Ireland continues to grow from strength to strength in the local area.

Led by Longford native Aimie Duignan, Kangatraining has officially celebrated one year supporting mums and babies in Longford and has recently expanded with new classes in Mullingar.

Described as Europe’s most popular workout program for mums and babies, Kangatraining allows mothers to safely exercise while wearing their baby in a sling or carrier. The classes are designed specifically for postnatal recovery, helping rebuild core strength and pelvic floor health, all while keeping baby close and content.

But Kangatraining is more than just a workout. For many local women, it has become a supportive social outlet, a place to meet other mums, share experiences and build friendships during what can often feel like an isolating stage of life.

Globally, Kangatraining classes are offered in over 25 countries, with more than 25,000 participants taking part each month. Each workout concept is based on sports science and developed alongside experts, including gynaecologists, sports scientists and physiotherapists.

Classes in Longford and Mullingar are welcoming mothers of all fitness levels. Whether you’re newly postpartum, further along in your parenting journey, or expecting, there is a programme tailored to you.

As Kangatraining Ireland marks its first birthday in Longford, the community focus remains at the heart of everything Aimie does.

To celebrate one year of supporting mums and babies, Kangatraining will host a Walk in Pink fundraiser in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

The charity walk takes place on Mother’s Day, March 15 at 11am, starting at Pig Market Lane, Ballymahon Street, Longford, with route options along the Royal Canal. Families, buggies and babywearers are all welcome.

For mothers searching for supportive, expert-led mother and baby classes in Longford Kangatraining Ireland continues to build not just stronger bodies, but a stronger community too.

The next block of classes will take place in BeWell Longford & Bloom Wellness Mullingar.
