The 50 Plus Show, supported by Specsavers Limerick, is returning to the Greenhills Hotel Conference and Leisure Centre on May 12 and 13. This is the fourth consecutive year it’s being held in the county.
This year’s event will feature over 60 displays, demonstrations and workshops all designed to inform and entertain people in their retirement.
Attractions include free cooking demonstrations, arts & crafts workshops, health screenings and bridge workshops, live music along with 50 exhibitors covering health, rights & entitlements, volunteering, personal finance, energy savings, hobbies & pastimes, coin & stamp collecting as well as joining a club or society.

Guest speakers include Sinead Ryan, known to many from her Newstalk programme and column in the Irish Independent. She will be speaking on both days on the topic: ‘Wills, Inheritance and the Fair Deal Scheme: Everything you want to know but are afraid to ask.’
Also speaking and available to chat afterwards will be Irish Times Education Columnist and Guidance Counsellor, Brian Mooney, who will be giving some food for thought about the conversations you need to consider having about your retirement - your second life.
The event will also host Chef, Nutritionist and Limerick native, Eoin Sheehan, who will be holding a cooking demonstration at 12:30pm on May 12 and 13.

For the more actively inclined, there will also be some live musical performances and exercise classes throughout the day
Admission at the door is €5 but anyone can register for free by going to www.seniortimes.ie, emailing info@slp.ie or calling 01 496 9028
Companies/bodies interested in exhibiting can contact brian@slp.ie
