It was smiles all round as the Mayor of Limerick, John Moran, officially opened Bowe Dental Private's new advanced dentistry clinic in Limerick City.
The newly-restored townhouse has been reimagined as a cutting-edge dental clinic, which offers complex procedures and treatments.
The event also saw the clinic awarded 'Centre of Excellence' status by Nobel Biocare, making Bowe Dental the only clinic in Munster to hold this accolade. In addition to Bowe Dental’s longstanding general dentistry practice, this City Centre clinic adopts patient-centred design and is equipped with best-in-class technology for advanced procedures.
For those self-conscious about their smile, experiencing difficulty eating or struggling with ill-fitting dentures, Bowe Dental Private has minimally invasive solutions to provide natural-looking and comfortable teeth.
Following an initial consultation, the team carry out detailed assessments and explains available options, which could include Dental Implants, Click-In Implant Stable Dentures, Orthodontics and Digital Smile Design.
Recent patient Josephine McC spoke about her experiences with implants:
"I just wasn’t comfortable with the denture but I didn’t want 'doggie dentures' or the 'Hollywood smile', I wanted to be able to eat and for them to look natural and feel comfortable and tight.
"I’m delighted I went for the treatment and d’you know what? I feel more confident now. The implants are great, and it was much easier than I expected. I just needed a bit of paracetamol and I was grand."
The €2 million restoration project brings a 200 year-old jewel on Limerick’s Georgian Crescent back into operation after lying vacant for a quarter of a century.
The transformation took almost four years, with a Limerick ‘dream team’ of Architect Cáit Ní Cheallacháin, Builder Paul Leonard, Molloy Quantity Surveyors, Peter Lavelle Fire Safety, Jennifer Gabbett Interior Designer and Piquant Design.
Dr Robert Bowe, Founder and Lead Clinician at Bowe Dental said:
"With Bowe Dental Private we have created a calm and tranquil patient experience right in the heart of Limerick City. Housed in our beautifully restored Georgian townhouse, we provide next-generation dentistry with good old-fashioned bedside manner that puts patients first.
"Our advanced digital technology makes it easier for our patients to see and understand their treatment plans with confidence. It also allows us to complete transformative care faster and more efficiently, helping to minimise anxiety, disruption and downtime.
"Reinstating this building to its former glory is consistent with our track record in caring for our patients at Bowe Dental - restoring smiles and enhancing quality of life."
Mayor John Moran said:
"The restoration of this wonderful building is a vote of confidence in Limerick City Centre and helps to preserve its enviable Georgian heritage. It may have been easier to have chosen an out of town modern location. However, Bowe Dental is a local, homegrown Limerick business offering world-class care, which has been part of the Limerick community for sixteen years now.
"Today's opening event showcases not just their impressive expertise and technology, and their strong focus on enhancing patient experience, but Rob’s pride in Limerick and desire to do his bit to help regeneration of his city. He is to be applauded for that decision."
Kellie Pickles, Nobel Biocare said:
"With a rich legacy in implantology, Nobel Biocare is proud to deliver premium dental implant solutions that set the benchmark for quality and innovation. Our commitment to excellence spans every stage, ensuring patients receive the best possible outcomes.
"This dedication to high standards is reflected in the exceptional care provided by Bowe Dental Private’s new clinic. We are thrilled to recognise their achievement with our prestigious All-on-4 Centre of Excellence award - an accolade that helps patients identify highly experienced All-on-4 clinicians with proven expertise.
"At Bowe Dental Private, the entire team pursues excellence daily, transforming smiles and changing lives."
