Ireland v England - where to watch and all you need to know...

Ireland's women's national team will get top TV billing as they take on England in the Aviva Stadium, with Champions League coverage shifted to the RTÉ news channel. 

Coverage of Ireland's first game against England at this level since 1987 will start on RTÉ2 at 7pm - kick off is at 7.30pm.

The Man City v Real Madrid Champions League game will be shown on the RTÉ news channel.

Having played France last Friday, Eileen Gleeson’s squad enter into their second game of Group A3 and prepare to take on the reigning European champions in just the eighth meeting between the teams.
 
Over 30,000 tickets have already been snapped up with demand still high amongst supporters.

Emily Whelan has replaced Jess Ziu (hamstring injury) in the squad for tonight's game. 

England are ranked number 2 in the world, having lost out to Spain in last year's World Cup Final. Ireland are ranked 22 places below, at 24 in the world, and made their debut in the 2023 World Cup, but failed to make it out of their group. 

The players will know each other very well as 18 players in the Ireland WNT squad play their club football in England in either the Women’s Super League or the Women’s Championship.

Kate McCabe is one of the stars in the Women's Super League for Arsenal, and much of Ireland's hopes will rest on her performance.
