Journalist and broadcaster Piers Morgan’s Uncensored YouTube channel is to be made into a TV programme airing on 5.
The TV channel claims the move is the “world’s first collaboration between a YouTube current affairs show and a legacy broadcaster” and says the programme will be a 90-minute highlights package of the best bits of the week’s YouTube content.
Morgan, 60, said: “Piers Morgan Uncensored has become one of the world’s fastest-growing and most popular YouTube news channels, racking up over a billion views in just three years.
“I’m really excited our show will be crashing on to British TV screens in a game-changing partnership with 5, bringing viewers the most explosive debates, jaw-dropping interviews, and headline-grabbing moments every single week.”

Piers Morgan Uncensored has aired since April 2022, beginning its life on streaming television channel Talk before moving to YouTube in 2024, and often tackles controversial and challenging topics.
It has featured interviews with the likes of US President Donald Trump, rapper Kanye West and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Taking to X after the announcement, Morgan said he would also be doing some “live shows soon” and reassured fans they would still be able to watch the show on YouTube.
Federico Ruiz, commissioning editor of 5, added: “Being thrilled to have Piers Morgan on 5 doesn’t scratch the surface. Uncensored will be an excellent fit, our viewers love straight talk, big opinions, and unapologetic personalities, and Piers delivers all three and then some.
“A linear, terrestrial broadcaster partnering with a current affairs YouTube channel is the sort of exciting cross-cultural handshake that marks where the industry is heading. The fuse is lit. We’re braced for impact… Piers is coming to 5.”
It comes after 5 owners Paramount announced in March that its terrestrial TV arm, then known as Channel 5, would merge with its streaming service, then known as My5, under its current name.
Morgan began his career in journalism at The Sun in the late 1980s, and went on to become editor of the News Of The World and Mirror, before moving into broadcasting, hosting shows such as Piers Morgan’s Life Stories and Good Morning Britain. He has also served as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
Piers Morgan Uncensored will air on 5 weekly from 11pm on September 12.
