Dry and sunny weather is set to return to most places across Ireland this Easter Sunday, Met Eireann has revealed
Dry and sunny weather is set to return to most places across Ireland this Easter Sunday, Met Eireann has revealed.
However, some showers and rainfall can also be expected so the advice is to bring your umbrella if you are travelling over the remainder of the bank holiday weekend.
Status yellow rain warnings which had been issued for six counties along the east coast were lifted early this Saturday morning while a status orange warning for Wicklow will end at 11am.
Looking ahead, some more rain can be expected until lunchtime but any heavy downpours should have passed by the afternoon.
"The rain will become lighter and patchier during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate to fresh east or northeast winds," states the latest national forecast.

While some showers or longer spells of rain will affect parts of Munster, Connacht and west Ulster on Easter Sunday, Met Éireann says there will be plenty of dry weather with some sunshine elsewhere.
"Patchy rain and drizzle will linger across Ulster and north Leinster for a time on Monday. Elsewhere, there will be a mix of sunshine and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees," adds the forecast.
