Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather says he expects some windy weather to impact Ireland next Thursday and Friday with a risk of stronger winds next weekend
A leading weather expert is warning that a 'conveyor belt of storms' which has formed over the Atlantic Ocean is likely to bring some windy, and possibly some stormy weather to Ireland over the next week.
In an update this Sunday night, Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather says the exact picture will become clearer in the coming days but that he expects some windy weather to impact Ireland next Thursday and Friday with a risk of stronger winds next weekend as the weather systems approach.
In advance of any strong winds, spells of heavy rain can be expected across Ireland over the next seven days with to 40mm of rain is possible in places.

In a post on social media, Alan O'Reilly says the forecast is subject to change but, based on current data, it is "not looking too severe at present."
