Cannabis with street value of 3m euro discovered at Dublin Airport

More than three million euros worth of cannabis was discovered in boxes labelled as “Kitchen Hoods” at Dublin Airport on Saturday.

Detector dog Meabh helped Revenue officers uncover 154kg of herbal cannabis, worth 3,080,000 euro, which was in vacuum-packed packages in the boxes.

The drugs originated in America and were being shipped to an address in Dublin.

Revenue say investigations are ongoing and the seizure is part of its ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups.

They are asking any businesses or members of the public who have information to contact them.
