Man in his 30s found dead in Dundalk

An investigation has been launched after a man in his 30s was found dead outside a home in Co Louth.

The man was found shortly after 8.00am outside a residential property at Duiche Roden, Dundalk.

The scene was sealed off for an examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.

The office of the State Pathologist and the local Coroner have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

A senior investigating officer was appointed and an incident room has been established at Dundalk Garda Station.

A Garda family liaison officer is supporting the family of the deceased.

The results of the post mortem will assist investigating Gardai in determining the course of the investigation.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses and investigations are ongoing.
