Alan Carr’s Madame Tussauds waxwork gets Traitors makeover

Alan Carr’s Madame Tussauds waxwork will get a Traitors-inspired makeover following his victory in the hit show.

The comedian will return to the floor of the London attraction dressed in the show’s famous dark-green cloak and holding a lantern, standing in a turret-style set.

The news comes a week after Carr’s headline-making triumph in the first celebrity spin-off of the TV series.

The traitor flew under the radar until the very end, snatching victory from faithfuls Nick Mohammed, the Ted Lasso star, and historian David Olusoga.

The final episode of The Celebrity Traitors was watched by an average of 11.1 million, with a peak of 12 million, the BBC said.

The episode last Thursday secured the biggest overnight audience for the BBC since the final episode of Gavin And Stacey aired on Christmas Day last year and drew an average of 12.3 million.

Carr’s waxwork has travelled from travelled from Madame Tussauds Blackpool and will take up residence in the London attraction for two weeks near the Fashion Runway Zone.

Steve Blackburn, general manager of Madame Tussauds London, said: “We are – in the words of Kate Garraway – ‘flabbergasted’ by the number of requests we’ve received calling for Alan’s figure to return to the attraction floor.

“We’ve been faithful, listened to our visitors, and brought the figure back with an iconic new look to celebrate Alan’s Celebrity Traitors win.

“We can’t wait to welcome fans eager to see cloaked Alan in London and relive one of TV’s most talked-about moments of the year.”

Carr’s Traitors-inspired figure will be on display at Madame Tussauds London from November 13 until November 28.
