Stephanie Igoe of Prestige Property shares her insight ahead of International Women's Day

This International Women in Business Day, we’re celebrating the incredible talent and entrepreneurship of women in Longford.

Seven local business leaders have shared their insights, experiences, and reflections, offering a glimpse into the creativity, resilience, and vision that drive their businesses.

Each story is unique, yet together they showcase the remarkable contributions women are making to the business community in Longford and beyond.

Stephanie Igoe - Prestige Property Consultants Ltd

1. What first sparked the idea for your business?

Prestige Property Consultants Ltd specialises in Lettings and Rentals in Longford and the Midlands. I first started in this business when I worked in the lettings section of an office in Longford Town in the early 2000s.

I quickly realised I was good at it, but more than that, I genuinely enjoyed helping people. I built up my experience, earned my licence, and eventually took the leap to open my own office at 6 Church Street, Longford. This month, we are proudly celebrating 9 years in business.

2. How would you describe what your business does best?

At Prestige Property Longford, we focus on lettings and property management. We do our best to make the process smooth, efficient and as stress-free as possible for landlords.

I believe people value that we are professional, honest and approachable. We work hard to match the right tenant with the right property, and we care for the landlord, the tenant and the property every step of the way.

3. What advice would you tell yourself if you were starting over?

If I were starting over, I would tell myself to trust my instincts, stay confident, and not be afraid to grow step by step. I would also remind myself that kindness and professionalism can go hand in hand — and that both matter.

4. Where do you see the business heading next?

I see Prestige Property Longford continuing to grow as a trusted name in Longford, especially in the landlord and rental sector. I’m proud to have a strong team and trusted local service providers, which means we can respond quickly and keep properties in great condition year after year.

5. Do you have a personal motto you live by?

My motto is simple: “Work hard, be kind, and always do my best.”
