Smart Digital founder and influencer Ruth McCourt guest speaker at 2025 Network Ireland Awards

Smart Digital Marketing & PR Agency is marking six years in business this year, and founder Ruth McCourt recently celebrated the milestone with a special honour being named Guest Speaker at the 2025 Network Ireland Roscommon Business Woman of the Year Awards.

The Roscommon native, known for her results driven approach to marketing and communications, shared her journey with an audience of inspiring women and local business leaders. Her story, spanning fashion, digital strategy, PR and entrepreneurship, is a testament to creativity, determination, and a deep connection to her roots.

A Business & Marketing graduate from ATU Galway, Ruth began her career with a fashion blog in the early days of social media, later representing Roscommon in Miss Ireland 2014. Since founding Smart Digital in 2019, she has built a full-service agency that delivers digital strategies, PR campaigns, and creative content across Ireland and Europe.

Smart Digital’s client base includes brands in hospitality, retail, travel, furniture, events, and mental health, with a strong emphasis on connecting with audiences through impactful campaigns. Ruth’s work with long-time Roscommon client G Furniture & Carpets in Galway included launching an ecommerce website that transformed how the business showcases and sells its product range online (www.gfurniture.ie).

Her campaigns have included raising over €150,000 for Helplink Mental Health, running high profile influencer projects, and producing compelling content on her @fashiontruthbyruth Instagram and Facebook Fashion Blog for Ireland’s West Airport, Athlone Towncentre, Supermac’s and other leading Irish brands.
