FDC Group Roscrea: Dedication and commitment to serving clients for over 53 years

With exponential growth and changes in management in 2025, the Roscrea office stands as a testament to FDC’s continued dedication and commitment to serving clients for over 53 years.

FDC Group integrates itself into communities, creating symbiotic relationships between the company, its clients and the community at large. Making a commitment to bettering communities is a core value upheld from top management down.

For the last 43 years, FDC has striven to showcase its loyalty to the Roscrea community. To diversify its commitment to locality, FDC Group, in partnership with Biodiversity in Schools, is sponsoring Scoil Mhuire in Lismackin and Scoil Cronán Naofa in Dromakeenan.

The selected school will receive complete 12-month biodiversity support, including materials, training, online learning resources, training events and the chance to win the Nature Hero Award. This partnership exemplifies FDC Group’s core values and corporate social responsibility through social and environmental avenues, furthering the organisation’s objectives set for 2025 and 2026 to support local communities and make a positive environmental impact.

FDC Financial Services Ltd. and FDC Tax Department Ltd. have a strong presence in the Roscrea office, operating under the leadership of the Regional Manager for the Midlands, Paddy Murphy. Brian Coffey, Senior Financial Consultant, is also an integral member of the senior leadership team in the Roscrea Office and was recently appointed as one of the Directors of FDC Financial Services Ltd.

Having previously worked in the medical device industry for over 10 years as a Production Team Lead, Blayne Burke made the leap and enrolled in the QFA exams to explore the area of Financial Advisory in 2023. In June 2024, Blayne joined FDC Financial Services as a Trainee Financial Advisor, finished his last QFA (Qualified Financial Adviser) module in September and completed the trainee programme in January 2025.

Regarding his experience working out of the Roscrea office, Blayne commented,

“Very soon into my Financial Advisory journey, it was clear that FDC put a big focus on having a strong presence in rural towns around the country and providing a genuine and much needed service for these communities. This has been particularly evident when serving the long-established Roscrea branch where I could see that the locals have a real fondness for FDC and often stop my colleagues and myself for a chat when popping in and out of the office.

“This close-knit feel with clients and local communities, knowing that we’re providing a valued service, has made my time with FDC to date even more enjoyable.”

Donal O’Dwyer, a Chartered Tax Advisor, is an integral member of the tax department, covering many offices in the Midlands, including Roscrea.

“I started with the FDC Group as a Chartered Tax Advisor in October 2018, and I have been working closely with Regional Manager Paddy Murphy and recently appointed FDC Tax Department Ltd. Regional Manager Donncha Collins.”

Donal has extensive experience in succession and inheritance tax planning, land and business sales, corporate re-structuring and income tax planning. Promoted to Regional Manager of the Midlands in 2004, Paddy Murphy has furthered FDC’s pillar for growth and innovation through strategic acquisitions, most recent of which were in Mullingar and Templemore.

These recent strategic additions to FDC Group join a fleet of offices in the Midlands, including Tipperary Town, Cashel, Cahir, Carlow, Tullow and Roscrea.

Reflecting on his time with FDC Group, Paddy determined five factors that are key to the success of the business:

“First and foremost, FDC Group is managed with trust as the foundation of its ethos and culture. This principle is carried into every corner of the business. Second, FDC is driven by innovation, representing an ever-evolving service offering that is adaptable and relevant to every stage of the client journey, from the highest peaks to the lowest troughs.

“Third, to meet the needs of our growing client base, we intentionally seek out opportunities in rural Ireland to further our presence in small communities. Fourth, FDC pioneers new technologies to ensure maximum efficiency, while simultaneously maintaining our personal touch.

“Last and most importantly, FDC is an organisation built by people for people, delivering business excellence to communities across Ireland. The FDC Roscrea office is a testament to FDC’s excellence.”
