Cut your electricity bills in half with Fanning Electrical and Solar Ltd

Grants of up to €2,100 and 0% VAT incentives for residential homes are available

Fanning Electrical and Solar Ltd (FES) is a leading local solar PV contracting company located just a five-minute drive from Kilkenny City, based in Ballycallan.

They have worked with hundreds of clients across Kilkenny and surrounding counties, offering a unique service. FES clients deal directly from start to finish with a registered electrician no hard sells, with tailored packages to suit all home and energy needs.

The company handles all grant paperwork and submissions, saving the client any bother. They also offer clients a monitoring system, with a live feed allowing you to see on your smartphone the performance of the system and system specifics.

Ground mounted system option instead of roof mounted

Grants of up to €2,100 and 0% VAT incentives for residential homes are available, up to €162,600 for commercial properties and up to €90,000 worth of grants for agricultural premises, with FES fully registered for each.

The vast majority of clients cut their electricity bills in half with the average payback of the system in four to five years, and there is a 30-year warranty on the solar panels themselves.

An added bonus also is Solar panels dramatically increase the BER on properties allowing for some clients to apply for reduced-rate green mortgages, lowering their mortgage repayments. Savings can then be further enhanced by adding in a battery to
their solar PV system.

A battery can be charged either for free by the panels or by using the cheaper night rate of electricity usually 8c per kWh.

Surplus electricity generated that isn’t used to power the house or supply the battery can be sold back to the grid at an average rate of 25c per kWh.

FES imports market-leading and innovative products directly from the suppliers, cutting out the middle-man and passing the savings directly on to the customer. Along with powering all of the home's appliances, the solar panels can be used to charge an electric vehicle and heat water, powering everything in the home.

As homes become more electric dependent, and — as in the case of new builds 100% electrically dependent — there has never been a better time to install solar PV.

FES also supplies and installs electric vehicle car chargers and can pair the two systems together seamlessly. Any person who wishes to install an electric car charger can avail of a grant of €300 for the SEAI.

For homes that can’t fit the panels on their roof, they offer ground-mounted systems, either with a concrete base, or systems that go directly into the ground, cutting the groundworks out of the equation altogether.

FES are well reviewed, with exceptional 5 star ratings
