Three taken to hospital after Cork arson

Three people have been taken to hospital after an arson attack at a home in Cork city.

Gardai and other emergency services attended the scene of “criminal damage by fire” that occurred at a home shortly after midnight in Rochestown on Monday.

A woman in her 40s, a man in his 20s, and “a male youth” were taken to Cork University Hospital for assessment.

Gardai said the scene was preserved for technical examination.

A spokesperson said: “Inquiries are ongoing.”
