Cannabis and cocaine worth more than €50,000 was found in private residence in County Cork
Gardaí have arrested a man following a significant drugs seizure in County Cork.
Confirming details of the arrest, they say the drugs were seized when a search was conducted by members of the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit at a residence in Midleton in the east of the county at approximately 8pm on Friday.
"Cannabis valued at €40,000 and cocaine worth an estimated €10,850 was seized at the property," said a spokesperson
An adult male, aged in his late teens, was arrested at the scene and he is currently detained at a garda station in Cork under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Gardai say the drugs seized will now be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.
